Valterra RV Fresh Water Systems PVC Tubing Review- Video
What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Valterra PVC Hose for your RV fresh water system. I've installed a lot of water pumps on this camper, literally every single one that we carry, and it's gonna be really useful for a couple of different things. So I put an accumulator tank on our pump just to make it quieter, so to bridge those two, I wanted that little flexible tubing, and I also added our little valve here, so whenever I wanna purge the system of water, I can just switch the valve, and then this tubing is just gonna suck in air and push all that water out. One thing that I would suggest, as you can tell, we have like a hard PVC hookup on the left, and that just kinda limits where we can put our pump, like I would like to really put this up in the corner, so I can use this for storage. So if you have just a water pump you need to put in, and you just need a little bit like this, do that, but I suggest just kinda replacing all this hard PVC with this flexible tubing, just so we can move our pump wherever we want. more

Presenter Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Valterra PVC tubing for RV freshwater systems. Now this is gonna let you replace a line in your RV's fresh water system, and it is worth noting that this is for non-pressurized lines only. So if one of those non-pressurized lines goes out in your RV and there's a leak or something, you can do this repair yourself. This is gonna give you plenty of length, it's 500 feet long. And if you don't need that much, there is a roll of 100 feet that you can pick up as well. But what you'll do with both those rolls is just take what you need, cut it to length, and then you can connect it to the RV's plumbing system. more

Now this is brass fitting here that screws in to our city water connection, and what that's going to do, we'll unscrew the cap here, is allow us to hook up an air hose to this to blow out all the water out of our lines.Now, why would we want to do that It's a normal thing you do before you winterize your rig. That way, you can blow out all the excess water in the pipes and then follow it with anti-freeze. I also suggest getting in the habit of doing it after any long trips, just to get any of that water out of there because your pipes kind of go like this on the inside. And in that dip, that's where the water usually collects and stays. more

You're going to blow out all the water out of the lines, put some antifreeze in there that way none of the pipes freeze over the winter or burst.I would suggest to get in the habit of doing it after every long trip. more

Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the blowout plug. This is just going to be a plastic style blowout plug with the shrader valve on the end. Whenever you're winterizing your RV, you want to clear out all those water lines of any additional water to make sure that you don't have anything that's going to dilute your antifreeze solution. If there's any water left over in there and can dilute it and make it kind of ineffective, and then there's always a risk of that your pipes will burst while it's sitting there in the winter. This is going to prevent that by letting you blow some air through all those pipes, get out the rest of that water and get you ready for winter. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Brass Diverter Check Valve. This unit can be used for many applications, but most commonly used as a replacement for bypass kits when it comes to winterizing your RV water system. This unit's made from a durable brass construction. It's going to feature a lead free design. Also features a fresh water backflow preventer. Just to go over the different connection points real quick, on this end you're going to have the 1/2 inch FPT or female pipe thread connection, and then the other two are 1/2 inch MPTs, which is male pipe thread connections. The lever is the diverter, so that diverts the flow from this connection to this connection. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra male T adapter. This type of adapter can be used for many different applications. They are most commonly found with water tank applications and converting hard lines to flex lines. This adapter connects to a half inch FPT or female pipe thread connection and then provides two half inch barbed connections. The barbed connections would connect to a hose or flex line. The half inch MPT connection threads into a half FPT connection. more
